Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by our airport representative for a short safari briefing. Afterwards leave for Amboseli, the journey is about 4 hours. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon's game drive. Amboseli lies at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft.) and very close to the Tanzania border. The snowcapped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro dominates every aspect of Amboseli, forming a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most spectacular displays of wildlife including lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, and hosts of plains' game.

Distance: Nairobi – Amboseli: 250 km / 3 hours
Early morning game drive enroute with majestic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Later leave for Lake Naivasha, stopping at Nairobi for lunch. You will arrive in the afternoon and enjoy a boat ride at Lake Naivasha coming close to hippos and abundant birdlife.

After breakfast, leave for Lake Nakuru via Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon enjoy a game drive at Lake Nakuru, famous for its abundant birdlife. The Park offers a great chance to see greater & lesser flamingoes, pelicans, and mammals including endangered Rothschild giraffe, black & white rhino, buffalo, waterbuck, elands, and zebras.

After breakfast leave for Maasai Mara, the most popular reserve known for its big skies and open savannahs as featured in the film "Out of Africa". The reserve is famed as the seventh wonder of the world due to the annual wildebeest migration. It is also home to the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion & leopard) plus zebras, giraffes, impalas, Thomson's gazelles, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and more. Maasai Mara is the shooting site of BBC’s Big Cat Diary.

Today you will do a full day safari in one of the world's most famous reserves. Maasai Mara offers an abundance of herbivores, making it the ideal hunting ground for Kenya's famous big cats and hosting its largest population of lions. The Mara is famous for the large herds of elephants and buffalo that wander its plains and for the annual migration of wildebeest.
